Welcome to the centre of my Web Footprint...
I've been building, programming, and disassembling things since I can remember.

Currently, I'm an Assistant Professor at Universidad Adolfo Ibàñez and Academic Director of the Master in Industrial Engineering. I also founded and was the initial director of the UAI Systems Center, where we work in solving complex real-life problems using operations research tools.

My research interests are in combinatorial problems, in particular, scheduling problems, and the analysis and design of approximation algorithms. I'm currently interested in applications related to control and energy/power management and dealing with uncertainty in these settings. If you are interested in my research you can find more information here: Research Page.

Here you will also find links and descriptions of some of the things I've been working in. I hope you like it.

If you are interested in some of the work I've done or you just want to drop me a line, my address is: rodrigo(dot)carrasco(at)gmail(dot)com and here is my PGP Public Key if you know what it is for.
